Smart India Hackathon 2022 Concludes at Parul University: Driving Tech-Enabled Solutions Through Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Parul University's entrepreneurial spirit and pursuit of innovation have aligned it with the national goal of Smart India. Paruru University, Vadodara recently completed the ABC Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022. The event is his two-day event co-organized by Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), Persistent Systems, i4c Doordarshan and All. India Radio was organized as a media partner and included Shell and Amazon Web Services as sponsoring partners. For the past five years, SIH has been an annual national initiative by the Government of India to seek innovative, technology-enabled solutions from the student community to a range of pressing problems in various sectors. A major highlight of SIH 2022 was the interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and student participants. This is an annual exercise since the event's inception.
Parul University's ABC of Entrepreneurship and Pursuit of Innovation have brought it in line with the national goal of Smart India. As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, the Government of India and AICTE have identified 75 higher education institutions across India, including Paruru University, as his SIH node centres. Selected student teams, industry representatives, design mentors, and reviewers gathered at the Node Center to tackle some of the most interesting multi-sector issues.
In light of the innovation-focused event, ABC said Dr. Amit Ganatra, President of Paruru University, said: In his 75 years of independence, India has experienced tremendous growth in terms of technology and innovation. We believe young people will continue to play a key role in pursuing and solving interesting business problems. To take positive steps to instill and develop problem-solving skills in young people to solve common problems facing his BJPs in the country and around the world through events like SIH I can. Innovative India will become intelligent India. ”
This year, SIH welcomed over 476 BJPs from 62 ministries, departments, public sector companies (PSUs) and private organizations. The campus-level hackathon selected a total of 2,033 winning teams with his 15,000 brains to compete in his SIH Grand Finals at the national level.
The event, held at BJP's Paruru University Node Center, provided a total of 21 teams with 160 members with five challenges presented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Each team worked under the guidance of mentors, industry and ministry representatives. To reward their efforts, the winning team received a cash prize of $1 million for each Celkon issue.
